Where Is the DCM in a 2023 Toyota Sequoia?

The DCM — the Data Communication Module, part of Safety Connect / Connected Services — is the module our bypass harness plugs into. Finding it is the only tricky part of the install. Pick your vehicle and we will show you where it lives and what has to come apart to reach it.

Not sure whether your vehicle even has one? Look for an SOS or Call Toyota button near the rear-view mirror or in the overhead console. No button means no DCM — and no need for the bypass harness.

Short answer

Driver side, low in the outer dash right in front of the driver's left knee.

Where it is

On the driver's side, low in the outer end of the dash - directly in front of the driver's left knee, behind the lower trim below the dash. Toyota moved it across for this generation; on the 2020-2022 Sequoia it is on the passenger side behind the glovebox.

How to get to it

We do not have a verified factory removal procedure for this vehicle yet. The location above is confirmed, but check a service manual for your exact model - or email us and we will help you plan the disassembly before you start.

No SOS button near the rear-view mirror or overhead console means the vehicle was built without Safety Connect - there is no DCM to bypass and this kit is not needed. This Sequoia shares its platform and dash architecture with the 2022-2026 Tundra, which puts the module in the same place. Note: the 2020-2022 Sequoia is the previous generation and is listed separately.
