2016-2020 Toyota DCM bypass plug (Telematics - Mayday module delete)

This adapter can be used to disable and remove the telematics DCM on Toyota vehicles that have the early version of the telematics DCM (This is known as the MAYDAY MODULE on early models and is part of the Toyota Safety Connect system on newer vehicles). Disconnecting the Data Communication Module (DCM) on a Toyota vehicle will disconnect the front right speaker and disconnect power from your OEM handsfree microphone. Many customers would like to remove the DCM for security reasons and some vehicles have noted failures in this module causing unnecessary battery drain when the vehicle is not running. We have designed this adapter kit specifically for the purpose of removing the DCM module. This module sometimes fails and can produce high pitch noises or drain the battery. This adapter fixes these problems.

Installation:

For the Highlander models, the DCM is located in a particularly awkward spot (under the shifter). A Customer did this video to show how to install the bypass plug in a 2019 Highlander. Hopefully this will make this job a bit easier!
