Toyota Vehicle - Telematics DCM Bypass kit
Item Number: AHH-DCM77
Disconnecting the Data Communication Module (DCM) on a Toyota vehicle will disconnect the front right speaker and disconnect power from your OEM handsfree microphone. Many customers would like to remove the DCM for security reasons and some vehicles have noted failures in this module causing unnecessary battery drain when the vehicle is not running. We have designed this adapter kit specifically for the purpose of removing the DCM module. These connectors will plug into the connectors that currently plug into the DCM module and retain the factory functions. This kit effectively rewires these vehicles so that they are wired the same as a vehicle that was not shipped with the DCM module. Most of your vehicles safety features and Navigation options will not be impeded by installing this adapter but you may lose features that depend on communication with Toyota. An example will be the cloud-based/phone app factory remote start. Since this system requires an internet connection with Toyota to communicate the start signal to your vehicle, it will be disabled when that signal path is removed. In addition, Call Toyota functions will not work. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have specific concerns.

Does your vehicle have a DCM? Not all Toyota/Lexus vehicles have a Data Communication Module. The DCM is part of the Safety Connect / Connected Services system. Look for an SOS or Call Toyota button near your rearview mirror or overhead console. If your vehicle does not have this button, it does not have a DCM and does not need this product. Some older Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia models were sold without Safety Connect depending on trim level and factory options.
⚠ 2026 RAV4 Notice: The 2026 Toyota RAV4 uses a new connector type that is not compatible with AHH-DCM77 or AHH-DCM92. We are developing a new bypass adapter for this model. Please contact us for updates.
