Aftermarket Headunit Installation Adapters for 2012-2015 Subaru Vehicles with OEM Navigation

2012-2015 Subaru vehicles with OEM navigation use the 6-pin/10-pin radio connectors plus the 28-pin and 16-pin accessory connectors - a different setup than non-navigation models. The following adapters will be used to install an aftermarket headunit:

• Backup Camera/Steering Wheel Control Adapter: Retains the OEM backup camera (if applicable), Steering Wheel Controls, and the Auxiliary input. Connects directly to the AXXESS AXSWC-2
• USB adapter: Retains the USB port in your console
• Metra 70-1761 or one of our direct wire harnesses (Pioneer, Sony, or ATOTO): Connects +12V, Ground, and Speakers
• AM/FM adapter: Retains the OEM AM/FM antenna (already included with our ATOTO direct wire harnesses - no separate purchase needed)
• AXXESS AXSWC-2: Interfaces with the OEM steering wheel controls. Not needed if your vehicle has no steering wheel audio buttons.

Backup Camera/Steering Wheel Control Adapter (Item 7565):

This harness connects in the place of the 28-pin and 16-pin connectors and provides backup camera video (RCA), auxiliary input (RCA), steering wheel control signals (3.5mm - requires the AXXESS AXSWC-2), reverse gear signal, and vehicle speed signal to your new headunit. 100% plug and play - no splicing.

The AM/FM antenna adapter will retain the AM/FM radio antenna. Installing an ATOTO headunit? Skip this - the AM/FM adapter is already included with our ATOTO direct wire harnesses. Price: $19

Have BOTH Navigation and Harman Kardon? Some Legacy and Outback models have both. The adapters on this page still apply, but the Harman Kardon amplifier must be addressed separately - see the Harman Kardon page or email us and we will put the whole package together.
