Custom 38-pin Backup Camera, Reverse and Steering Wheel Adapter for the 2022-2026 Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR86 - Labelled Leads

Custom 38-pin adapter for a new head unit in a 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 Subaru BRZ or Toyota GR86. It plugs into the factory 38-pin radio connector and brings out what your head unit needs, with every lead labelled:

-Factory backup camera - video on an RCA lead (a 12V-to-6V converter to power the factory camera is included)
-REVERSE - the reverse signal for your head unit's camera trigger
-Steering wheel buttons - KEY1 (pin 9), KEY2 (pin 10) and SWC GROUND (pin 12)

Steering wheel connection option: choose wire leads (included) for Android and ATOTO units and for Sony, or the AXSWC-2 connector (+$25) if you are using the Axxess AXSWC-2 steering wheel interface - needed for Pioneer, Kenwood, JVC and Alpine units. The AXSWC-2 is sold separately; on these cars it may have to be programmed manually.

This adapter carries no power or speaker wires - those are on the 10-pin and 6-pin connectors (see our AHH-70-1761 harnesses, with the amp turn-on wire on pin 8 for these cars). The 28-pin parts for the 2013-2020 BRZ do not fit these cars.

What's included:

One custom 38-pin adapter that plugs into the factory 38-pin radio connector, with labelled leads: backup camera (RCA video), REVERSE, KEY1 (pin 9), KEY2 (pin 10) and SWC GROUND (pin 12). With the AXSWC-2 connector option the steering wheel signals come on a plug for the Axxess AXSWC-2 instead of wire leads. It does not include power, ground or speaker wiring (those are on the 10-pin and 6-pin connectors), the AM/FM antenna adapter, or a steering wheel interface module.

Installation:

Unplug the factory 38-pin connector from the radio and plug it into this adapter. Connect the RCA video lead to your head unit's camera input and the REVERSE lead to its reverse / camera trigger wire. For the steering wheel buttons, join KEY1, KEY2 and SWC GROUND to your head unit's steering wheel wires (Android / ATOTO) or plug the AXSWC-2 connector into the interface, then set up the buttons in the head unit or interface menu.
