For 2002-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ models, our AHH-70-6502 series (replaces the Metra 70-6502) provides a plug and play connection for Pioneer, Sony, or ATOTO head units. For 2007-2018 Wrangler JK models, you will need a Metra 70-6522 harness. The Metra 70-6522 fits 2007-2018 vehicles including the Wrangler JK, Grand Cherokee WK2, Charger, Challenger, and Ram trucks. Our pre-wired AHH-70-6502 versions add a direct plug connector for Pioneer, Sony, or ATOTO head units, eliminating soldering.

Do I need a dash kit to install an aftermarket radio in my Jeep?

Sony and many Android head units (like ATOTO) can often read the resistive SWC signal directly through a dedicated input wire, so you may not need a separate module with those brands. What steering wheel control adapter do I need for my Jeep?

For most Jeep models, the ASWC-1 (Axxess Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface) is the most popular and widely compatible option. It auto-detects your vehicle and head unit brand during a simple programming sequence. For 2007+ Wrangler JK/JL and Grand Cherokee WK2 with CAN-Bus steering wheel controls, you may also consider the iDatalink Maestro or PAC RP4-CH11, which can retain additional factory features beyond just steering wheel buttons.

Which Jeep steering wheel buttons will work with an aftermarket radio?

With a properly installed SWC interface, you can typically retain volume up/down, track skip forward/back, source/mode, and mute buttons. Phone answer/end buttons may also work depending on the interface module and head unit combination. The ASWC-1 supports programmable button mapping so you can assign functions to match your new head unit.

Does the Jeep Gladiator use the same radio harness as the Wrangler JL?
